The terroir in Bourgogne is a subtle and lasting alchemy between the grape varieties, a set of natural elements and the know-how of men. The wines, mostly produced from a single grape variety, offer a purity of expression that allows each parcel and each vintage to have its own personality and to benefit from singular characteristics.

THE CLIMATS de BOURGOGNE

With a history of 2000 years, the vineyard of Bourgogne has been enriched by the experience of men, the observation of the soils, the ultra-local weather conditions… The result is a multitude of plots with recognized and identified qualities: the Climats and lieux-dits. But what are they really? Where do they get their characteristic names?

The Climats are a unique feature in the world, registered as World Heritage of Humanity since July 2015.
